The Advanced Congress of Democrats (ACD) was founded on 8 June 2006 in the state of Edo, Nigeria. On 19 June 2006, the leader of the party, Prince Tony Omoaghe, has presented the party's flag to each of the party chairmen appointed in the 18 local government areas of the state.
